Bob Dylan 2017 Never Ending Tour

Not many changes compare to 2016. High Water is gone; Desolation Row in. Also gone is the harmonica. Dylan starts with 28 concerts in Europe. No intermission, a rather standard setlist of 19 songs plus 2 encores.
Triplicate is released, but it takes 11 concerts before the first live debut from this 3CD album: Stormy Weather. The next one is in the 25th show: This Nearly Was Mine.
In the US and Canadian Summer tour some old favourites show up in a 18 songs plus 2 encores setlist. Summer Days is played with violin in a refreshing country-style.

In the US Fall tour new songs from Triplicate show up: September Of My Years and Once Upon A Time. Most old songs in totally reworked arrangements. And finally a brilliant live version of Thunder On The Mountain.

Dylan opens the Europe Spring tour in the beginning of April with two nights in Stockholm, where he receives the Nobel Prize for Literature the during a private meeting with the Swedish Academy members.
June 5 a recording of Bob Dylan reading his Nobel Prize lecture accompanied by Alan Pasqua on piano is released on the official Swedish Academy website, along with the text.
World premiere on July 8 of the musical Girl from the North Country, with Bob Dylan songs and directed by Conor McPherson, at the Old Vic in London.

Releases
Triplicate, Dylan’s first 3CD album, with once by Frank Sinatra recorded songs from the 1940s and 1950s. Made in the same Studio B in Capitol Recording Studios in Los Angeles, CA as Sinatra did. Subtitles of the CD’s: CD 1: ‘Til The Sun Goes Down; CD 2: Devil Dolls; CD 3: Comin’ Home Late.
Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981. A 2-disc edition and a 9-disc DeLuxe Edition: audio recordings from 1979-1981 shows, plus the Trouble No More concert film on DVD.
A hardcover edition of Bob Dylan’s The Nobel Lecture is published by Simon & Schuster on October 31.
